Chronocide

Time is Money, so spend it wisely!

Chronocide is our entry into the 2026 GMTK Game Jam, working with the theme of a Countdown. In Chronocide, Time is everything, it is your health, ammo, movement and as we said before, money. As it inevitably counts down, you must do your best to keep it going.

Fight against a horde of angry skeletons with your four weapon categories and kill them to grab more Time. Spend your Time Wisely in the shop to get new weapons and abilities.

The game is inspired by old boomer shooters like Quake, Doom and Ultrakill. We would have definitely made the game a lot less scuffed if we had more time but thats the nature of a jam afterall. We hope you enjoy the game, and let us know what you think!!!

- More In-Depth Explanation of Mechanics - 

Your timer must not reach 0, or you lose. Shooting, Jumping and Dashing cost time, and taking damage will make everything speed up, including your timer. Kill enemies to pick up time to survive, and buy better weapons to survive longer.
